How to make the most of a beach day in Karpaz

Scenic road trip

The drive to Karpaz is full of natural scenery. From Kyrenia it takes about 2–2.5 hours by car. Make sure you have enough fuel and drinking water before you leave.

Protecting sea turtles

Summer is nesting season for sea turtles. Do not step into fenced or marked areas and avoid placing umbrellas or sunbeds on top of nests.

Sun & safety

The sun in Karpaz is strong. Bring high-SPF sunscreen, a hat, enough water and shade. Always pay attention to warning flags or local advice before swimming.
